Additional Skype Channels To Cater For Demand

There has been a large number of participants opting to call through Skype into our conference service.

The feedback of intergrating this service into our conferencing system has shown this feature has seperated us from the competition. No other Austrailan or New Zealand teleconference provider has linked Skype and their conference system together.

Skype Brings Video Conference Calling, But At A Price

Skype currently has a beta version for the windows platform to allow video conferencing calling for up to 5 participants.

All participants need to be on the new beta version to use this feature.
Currently the feature is free to use while they are ironing out the bugs.

As Skype is software it uses your Internet connection, so if you are joining a video conference you need to have the Internet bandwidth available to support that.

Beta Skype Conference Calls - Now use Skype-To-Skype to dial us

Skype For AsteriskGreymouse is beta testing a Skype add-on for our PBX system called 'Skype For Asterisk' from Digium, this add-on allows for integration between Skype and our teleconferencing system. This enhancement allows for our teleconferencing solution to bridge calls from a 1800 Number, Local Telephone Numbers, SIP (VoIP) & Skype calls all in the same Teleconference room.

The Skype dialling method is a Skype-to-Skype call which means the participant will not incur a fee for dialling our Skype account and for the use of our service we have a discount rate for Skype calls, the host pays 5ยข per minute per Skype line for the use of our service.

Skype for SIP Beta works with Greymouse SIP Teleconference Service

Last month Skype released their SIP for Skype BETA.

This is a remarkable step forward for both Skype & SIP. This means that business that are using a SIP based PBX can integrate the Skype client with their PBX, allowing employees to answer and make both Skype or SIP calls.

This enhancement enables the ability to use our SIP/VoIP teleconferencing ability for conferences.
